Complete Advanced iii in a year!

This course provides an opportunity to practise discussing topics and themes of all kinds. You’ll develop your listening skills, writing and reading, including literary Welsh and formal Welsh. You’ll also develop your understanding of Welsh grammar. The course will prepare you to sit the Advanced exam on completion of the Advanced iii course, if you wish to do so.

Please note that the cost of a coursebook is not included in the course fee. Each coursebook is £10.

Our ability to run courses depends on enrolment numbers. If the number of learners who enroll on the course is lower than needed, it’s possible that the course will be cancelled. We will try to give at least two weeks’ notice and offer for you to transfer to another course.

If you are a Cardiff University staff member, you work in the Education sector or your workplace is paying the course fee on your behalf, please follow these instructions:

1.When you reach step 5 (Reason for Enrolling) of the enrolment process, please choose ‘workplace funded’, and then choose the name of your workplace as the employer

2. When it asks for the ‘Email address of person responsible for authorising payment’, please note the one that applies to you:

***Cardiff University – info@learnwelsh.co.uk

***Education Workforce – your work email address

***Workplace is paying – Email address of person we will need to contact in order to sort payment e.g. finance officer or line manager

If our mainstream courses do not suit you or you don’t manage to get a place on a course, there may be an opportunity for you to learn welsh through your workplace. Please contact welshintheworkplace@cardiff.ac.uk for more information.

A course suitable for beginners or people who have completed a short Welsh taster. Lessons are once a week with the tutor. Before each lesson the learner must complete independent study on the website. By the end of the course the learner will have completed Entry level. The course will be delivered on Zoom.
